Theme: Christ Refreshes His Servants (7-9 Apr 2026)
“Just as I am, though tossed about
with many a conflict, many a doubt,
fightings and fears within, without,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.”
The above stanza from Charlotte Elliott’s Just As I Am, Without One Plea oftentimes aptly describes the inner being of church leaders whom the Lord has tasked to shepherd His flock. While it is true that there are times of joy that God graciously gives, the shepherding process can also be fraught with weariness that comes with this calling. Moreover, church leaders themselves are sinners, and thus they too can be found “tossed about with many a conflict, many a doubt, fightings and fears within, without.”
At this conference, Dr Mbewe seeks to direct the leaders’ eyes upward and glean from the deep well of Scripture how the Chief Shepherd refreshes His long-suffering servants in this increasingly demanding and topsy-turvy world.
Speaker: Dr Conrad Mbewe is one of the pastors at Kabwata Baptist Church in Lusaka, Zambia, and the Founding Chancellor of the African Christian University in Lusaka. Currently he serves as the Dean of the School of Divinity at ACU. Dr Mbewe has authored many books and travels widely to minister in churches and conferences. He is married to Felistas, and God has blessed them with children and grandchildren.
